Chili’s May Margarita of the Month Features a Surprising Twist: Boba
Chili’s, I’m not gonna lie to you. You had me a little nervous with this year’s Margaritas of the Month. I thought we were gonna be stuck with repeats of last year’s sips. But I was pleasantly surprised when it was revealed that the Margarita of the Month for April was the all-new (heavy on the “new”) Peachy Dream Marg. Well, the fun doesn’t stop there, folks. We’re getting another new Margarita of the Month in May, and it might just be the most innovative marg yet from the restaurant.
Next month, Chili’s fans will be able to try the new Popping Boba Marg. The unique sip is made with Lunazul Blanco Tequila, Deep Eddy Lemon Vodka, Monin Watermelon, house-made sour, and Dragonfruit Popping Boba.
My Favorite Bars in Playa del Carmen, Mexico (And One Unexpected Stop You’ll Love)
You know that one travel destination you swore you’d never visit again? Book it! In fact, do it right now! Book the flight. Book the hotel. And while you’re at it, go ahead and book the excursions too. But in all seriousness, I recently had a bit of a redemption trip and it’s changed my mind a bit on destinations I’ve had bad experiences in.
A few years ago, I took a trip to Mexico City and it was wonderful. Right after Mexico City, I flew to Cancun to catch an Ado bus over to Playa del Carmen for a little fun in the sun. Yeah, about that fun in the sun, it definitely didn’t happen.
On The Rocks Just Made Margarita Season Even Better With Two New Flavors
I’m soooo glad it’s margarita season! I’ll take every margarita flavor you’ve got—pineapple, watermelon, kiwi, passion fruit, all of it. To take full advantage of the season of juicy sips, On The Rocks has launched not one, but two fruit-forward margs: Passion Fruit Margarita and Sparkling Watermelon Margarita.
The On The Rocks Passion Fruit Margarita is a limited-edition ready-to-serve bottled cocktail while the On The Rocks Sparkling Watermelon Margarita is a permanent addition to the brand's portfolio of canned cocktails. While both sound delicious, the Sparkling Watermelon Marg is right up my lane. And might I add that it’s made with Hornitos Tequila and boasts a solid 10% ABV.
The Internet-Famous Parkside Flask Now Comes With Free Wine (Yes, Really)
The Parkside Flask is easily one of my favorite gadgets from the past year. And I finally got the chance to put it to use in the wild at a friend’s picnic in Piedmont Park earlier this month.
It worked like a charm. I filled the flask with a bottle of Pinot Grigio I purchased at Trader Joe’s prior to the picnic. There was no leaking whatsoever and it was such a convenient option. I personally hate having to lug around multiple cups and bottles, so the Parkside Flask was perfect. But enough about that, let’s get to the real tea, or more appropriately, the free wine.
Applebee’s Just Partnered With Two Hip Hop Icons on New Cocktails—And I Tried Them First
When Snoop Dogg first rapped about sippin’ on gin and juice, he likely wasn’t picturing himself cozied up at a booth at Applebee’s. Well, fast-forward a few decades and the rapper/actor has partnered with fellow musician Dr. Dre on Still G.I.N., and they’re showcasing the liquor with two new cocktails at Applebee’s. Those two new sips are the Rollin‘ On the Beach ($10) and the Young, Wild & Free Fruit Punch ($7). And yes, I tried ‘em.
Chili’s Debuts ‘Margarita of the Month’ Club With Exclusive Merch (I’m Buying the Polo Shirt Immediately)
As long as Chili’s has had their Margarita of the Month special, there’s been a loyal crew of fans who congregate to the restaurant each month for the latest seasonal release. And now, Chili’s is bringing this group together with the launch of their new Margarita of the Month Club.
“y’all drink so many margs we decided to make a marg of the month club, with merch of course,” Chili’s shared in an Instagram post announcing the news.
McDonald’s McNugget Caviar Had Its Moment—Now This Hotel’s $18 Caviar & Champagne Deal Is Turning Heads
If you’ve been living under a rock the past week, let me be the first to inform you that McDonald’s is giving away free caviar and McNuggets later this month. The fast food giant has catched on to the viral phenomenon of topping chicken nuggets with caviar and creme fraiche, and they want in. The first-ever McNugget Caviar kits will be made available to fans online beginning February 10 at 11 a.m. ET.
RTIC’s Pink Happy Hour Tumblers Are on Sale for a Steal—And I Tried Them
As an OG blogger and food/drink journalist, I’ve seen my fair share of drink tumblers. And I have to say that I haven’t really treated them with respect. They usually get tossed deep inside a kitchen cabinet or at the bottom of a crate filled with other forgotten gadgets. But I recently came across a set of new tumblers that have absolutely won me over. That beautifully boozy pair of products is RTIC’s Happy Hour Wine Tumbler and Happy Hour Lowball Tumbler in the color Rosewater (a soft pink hue).
Chili’s February Margarita of the Month Is a Sweet, Citrusy Fan Favorite
After bringing back its Resolution Breaker Marg for the month of January, Chili’s is circling back to yet another fan-fave margarita for its February pick. Many of you are likely already familiar with the February Margarita of the Month, because it was also featured last year.
This February, Chili’s will once again be serving its StrawEddy Marg as its Margarita of the Month. The sweet-meets-tangy cocktail is made with Lunazul Blanco Tequila, Deep Eddy Lemon Vodka, strawberry purée and house-made sour. And yes, it’s still just $6.
I Tried Elijah Craig’s Sold Out Bourbon-Inspired Cologne—And I Have Thoughts
In addition to being a lover of cocktails, I’m also a huge fragrance fan. So when I received a note about the return of Elijah Craig Char No. 3 Cologne, the fragrance that sold out in December, I knew I had to get a whiff. And that I did.
First released late last year, Elijah Craig Char No. 3 Cologne is described as capturing “the warm, smoky, and sophisticated essence of the charred oak barrels that shape Elijah Craig's signature depth.” While you can expect layers of charred wood, spice and subtle sweetness, the specific fragrance notes include birchwood, cocoa, juniper berry, lavandin, nutmeg, oak barrel, orange blossom, pineapple and tonka bean.
