13 Valentine’s Day Cocktails Guaranteed To Have You Feeling All The Love

Whether you’re kicking it solo this Valentine’s Day or you’re boo’d up, we all deserve a great cocktail to celebrate the holiday. To help make your celebration as seamless as possible (because you deserve!), I’ve compiled a list of 13 of my favorite Valentine’s Day cocktails. I included a bit of everything too! There are a few clever variations on the Espresso Martini, some celebratory bubbles, and cocktails that use romantic ingredients like rose water and chocolate bitters.

Borghetti 30 Second Espresso Martini

Ingredients

1 1/2 ounces Borghetti Espresso Liqueur

1 1/2 ounces of your favorite vodka

Ice cubes

Espresso beans or coffee beans for garnish (optional)

Directions

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Add the Borghetti liqueur and vodka to the shaker. Shake well until the mixture is thoroughly chilled. Strain the cocktail into a chilled martini glass or rocks glass filled with ice. Optionally, garnish with a few espresso beans or coffee beans on top for added flair.

Cupid Spritz

Ingredients

2oz Oxbow Estate Rhum Louisiane Agricole

3/4oz lemon juice

3/4oz rose syrup

Soda Water

Rose petals for garnish

Directions

Add Oxbow Estate Rhum Louisiane Agricole, lemon juice and rose syrup to a Collins glass and stir. Add ice and top with soda water. Swizzle and garnish with edible rose buds

Ingredients

1 oz raspberry puree

½ oz rose water

½ oz fresh lemon juice

3 dashes chocolate bitters

3 oz sparkling wine

1 oz gin

Directions

Add all ingredients except for sparkling wine to an ice filled mixing glass. Shake well. Strain into a flute or coupe glass. Top with sparkling wine. Stir. Garnish with two raspberries on a pick. Enjoy!

Daisies Are For Lovers

Ingredients

1.5 part The Balvenie 12 Year Old DoubleWood

0.5 part Apricot Brandy

.75 part fresh lime juice

0.5 part simple syrup

½ part Maraschino Cherry syrup

Directions

Add all ingredients to the cocktail shaker with ice and shake hard for 5 seconds. Double strain into stemmed glass of choice. Garnish with maraschino skewered cherries if desired, or leave it simple and sophisticated without letting the drink speak for itself.

Love Bomb

Ingredients

2 oz Cocoa Bomb Chocolate Whiskey

1.5 oz Lemonade

.5 oz Grenadine

2 Strawberries

Directions

Muddle one strawberry at the bottom of the tumbler glass and set it aside. Combine all other ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake well for 10-15 seconds. Strain into the tumbler with fresh ice and garnish with the remaining strawberry. Cheers to liquid perfection.

Don’t Go Breakin My Heart

Aviation American Gin

Ingredients

1 oz Aviation American Gin

0.5 oz Cointreau

0.25 oz Aperol

0.75 oz Lemon Juice

0.5 oz Raspberry Syrup

0.5 oz Vanilla Syrup

Directions

Garnish with Orange Peel and a Candy Heart.

“Kiss Me” Paloma

Ingredients

2oz LALO Tequila

1.5oz Fresh Grapefruit Juice

3oz Sparkling Water

.5oz Fresh Lime Juice

.5oz Agave Syrup

Pinch of Salt

Garnish: Lime Wedge

Directions

Add LALO, fresh juices, agave syrup, and a pinch of salt to an ice-filled shaker tin. Shake and strain into a salt-rimmed, ice-filled collins glass. Top with sparkling water, and garnish with a lime wheel or wedge.

Mexpresso Martini

Ingredients

2 oz Gran Centenario® Añejo

2 oz Espresso

1/2 oz Chili Liqueur

1/2 Vanilla Simple Syrup*

Garnish: 3 Coffee Beans

Directions

*Syrup Preparation: Bring 1 cup of water to a pot and bring to a light boil. Reduce heat, add 1 cup of sugar, and stir to dissolve. Remove from heat and add 1 vanilla bean. Remove bean when room temperature is reached or leave in container for a stronger flavor.

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with three coffee beans.

Cupid Cuervo

Jose Cuervo

Ingredients

1 1/2 oz Cuervo Tradicional Plata Tequila

1 oz Campari (Italian aperitif)

1 oz Blanc Vermouth

1 Strawberry

1 Lime Wedge

Garnish: Orange Twist with a Heart Punched Out

Directions

Muddle the strawberry and lime wedge in a mixing glass. Add the remaining ingredients and fill with ice. Stir, and strain into a rocks glass filled with one large ice cube. Garnish with an orange twist with a heart punched out as well as the punched out heart.

George Dickel Tennessee Rose

Ingredients

2 oz George Dickel Bourbon

1 oz lime juice

0.75 oz pomegranate grenadine (2 parts pomegranate juice to 1 part sugar)

Lime twist and fresh pomegranate slice for garnish

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake well and fine strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with a lime twist and fresh pomegranate slice.

Snake Hips

Ingredients

2 oz Remus Straight Bourbon

0.5 oz Lime Juice

6-7 Mint Leaves

2-3 Blackberries

0.75 oz Simple Syrup

1 oz Club Soda

Directions

Combine mint leaves, lime juice, simple syrup and blackberries into a shaker. Muddle.

Dragon’s Hpnosis

Hpnotiq

Ingredients

1.5oz Capurro Pisco

0.75oz Hpnotiq

0.5oz Dragon Fruit Syrup

0.5oz Fresh Pineapple Juice

1oz Key Lime

1 Egg White

Directions

Add all ingredients except egg white into a shaker tin. Carefully crack egg white into the opposite tin. Add 5-6 ice cubes and shake long and hard. Open the tin and fill it with ice. Short and hard. Strain frothy Cocktail into a coupe glass, shake out the last bit. Drip bitters to the top of the cocktail in circles. Run a toothpick through bitters to create a design on top of cocktail foam. Garnish with dragon fruit.

Zacapa Lava Roasted Manhattan

Ingredients

1.5 oz Zacapa No. 23 Rum

0.75 oz Spiced Cacao Vermouth*

0.25 oz Mezcal

1 dash Mole Bitters

1 Roasted Marshmallow, for garnish

* Can substitute with Sweet Vermouth

Directions

Stir all ingredients into a mixing glass. Double strain into a coupe glass.Garnish with a roasted marshmallow.

* Spiced Cacao Vermouth

Directions

In a quart container, add sweet vermouth and 2 oz cacao nibs. Let sit for a minimum of 30 min, up to 24 hours at room temperature (for best results, let sit for 24 hours). Fine strain, label and date.
