Memorial Day Cocktails That Will Instantly Upgrade Your Cookout–And They’re Surprisingly Easy to Make

Hot dogs and hamburgers seem to get all the love during Memorial Day weekend. And sure, a flame-grilled burger or a loaded hot dog are cookout essentials, but if your cocktails aren’t on point, you’re doing Memorial Day weekend all wrong.

Whether you’re grilling poolside, picnicking with friends in the park, or taking your crew to the beach, a great cocktail is a must-have. Fortunately, it doesn’t take too many ingredients or too much of your time to create a showstopping cocktail perfect for enjoying outdoors.

And if you do plan on taking your Memorial Day festivities to a park, beach, etc., you may want to consider creating a large batch of cocktails and storing it in a secure pitcher.

Thankfully, these Memorial Day cocktail recipes are refreshing, easy to make ahead, and perfect for sharing.


Flecha Azul Spicy Blackberry Margarita

Ingredients

Jalapeño infused tequila (Batch)

  • 16 oz Flecha Azul Blanco Tequila

  • 1 Jalapeño, sliced

  • Add ingredients into a jar. Let infuse for 2 - 7 days. Strain out jalapeño. Store in the refrigerator

Blackberry Margarita (1 Serving)

  • ​​1 oz Jalapeño Infused Blanco Tequila

  • 1 oz Lime Juice

  • 1/2 oz Orange Juice

  • 4 Blackberries

Directions

Add ingredients to a shaker. Shake well. Double strain into an ice-filled glass.


BACARDÍ Summer Watermelon Cooler

1.5 oz BACARDÍ Superior

0.75 oz Watermelon Juice

2 oz Grapefruit Soda

Directions

Fill a tall glass with ice. Measure and pour all ingredients into your iced glass. Give all the ingredients a quick stir to combine everything together.


BACARDÍ Pomegranate Mojito

1.5 oz BACARDÍ Superior

0.75 oz Lime Juice

0.5 oz Pomegranate Syrup

1 oz Club Soda

9 Mint Leaves

Directions

Gently muddle mint leaves and pomegranate syrup in a cocktail shaker to release the mint oils. Combine with the lime juice, BACARDÍ Superior Rum and ice. Shake for 10 seconds and strain into a collins glass filled with ice. Top with club soda and garnish with a fresh mint sprig.


Aspen Vodka Blueberry Lemonade

Aspen Vodka

Ingredients

1.5 oz Aspen Vodka

2 oz lemon juice

3 oz water

1.5 oz blueberry syrup

Directions

Add ingredients to an ice filled shaker. Shake well. Strain into an ice filled glass.


Malibu Pink Lemonade

Ingredients

1 part Malibu Pink

2 Parts Lemonade

Lemon wedge for garnish

Directions

Pour in a glass over ice, garnish with a lemon slice & enjoy!


Guavarita

Malibu

Ingredients

1 part Malibu Pink

1 part Altos Plata

3/4 part lime juice

1/2 part agave syrup

Directions

Shake ingredients in a rocks glass over an ice cube. Garnish with pink salt rim & lime wedge.


Camo Spritz

Crystal Head Vodka

Ingredients

1 oz. Crystal Head Vodka

1/2 oz. Vanilla Gomme Syrup

1/6 oz. Matcha Mix**

1/2 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice

Prosecco (to top)

Lemon zest

Directions

Shake Crystal Head Vodka, vanilla gomme, matcha mix and lemon with ice. Fine strain into a chilled champagne flute (no ice). Top with prosecco and finish with a lemon zest.

** Matcha mix = 5g matcha powder and 25 ml water, whisk until smooth.


Grey Goose Rouge Royal

Ingredients

1 ½ oz GREY GOOSE® Berry Rouge Flavored Vodka

2 oz Simply Lemonade

¾ oz Brut Rosé

¾ oz Soda Water

3-6 Fresh Raspberries and Blueberries

1 Lemon Wheel

Mint Sprig

Directions

Build over cubed ice in a wine glass and stir gently. Garnish with raspberries, blueberries, lemon wheel, and mint sprig.


NOLET’S Silver Berry Independent Punch

NOLET’S Silver Gin

Ingredients

1.5 cups NOLET’S Silver Gin

0.5 cup Chambord Liqueur

0.5 cup Maraschino Cherry Liqueur

2.5 cups Lemonade

0.25-0.5 cup Simple Syrup

1 cup Blackberries or Blueberries

1 cup Strawberries

1 cup Raspberries

Directions

Puree fruit in a blender and strain out solids or juice fresh berries in a juicer. Mix berry juice with NOLET’S Silver Gin, Chambord, and Maraschino Liqueur with lemonade in a large pitcher or punchbowl. Taste for sweetness and adjust with simple syrup as needed. Add ice to the mixture, and serve over ice with fruit or floral garnish in a rocks glass.


Bramble

Devil’s Grin

Ingredients

2 oz Devil’s Grin Texas Gin

1 oz Fresh Lemon Juice

0.5 oz Simple Syrup

0.5 oz Blackberry Liqueur (Crème de Mûre)

Garnish: Lemon Wheel & Fresh Blackberry

Directions

Shake the gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup with ice. Strain into a rocks glass filled with crushed ice. Slowly pour the blackberry liqueur over the top so it "bleeds" through the ice. Garnish with a lemon wheel and a blackberry.
