I Tried The Parkside Flask—And I’m Convinced It’s The Must-Have Gift For Your Wine Crew

In case you haven’t wandered into a TJMaxx, Macy’s or any other retail store lately, let me be the first to tell you that holiday shopping season is already in full swing. I can shop for myself all day, but there’s a certain level of anxiety that comes with shopping for other people. And if you’ve got a particularly picky friend circle, you might be dealing with some added shopping pressure.

With those expectations, you’ve probably fallen down at least one rabbit hole trying to find a gift that feels thoughtful without sending you into a full-on holiday spiral. Along the way recently, the Parkside Flask landed on my radar. It’s a sleek, practical little gem that holds an entire bottle of wine and includes two tumblers that are attached to the bottle.

The flask checks every box for both the hard-to-please friend and the person who ‘doesn’t need anything.’ It struck me as one of those rare finds that feels personal but still universally appealing, which is why it quickly earned a spot on my list of gifting must-haves. And with that, let’s get into my full review of the Parkside Flask.

My first impression.

She’s cute. She’s real cute. What drew me immediately to the Parkside Flask without even seeing it in person was the look of it. It just seemed so sleek. And I have to admit that after seeing the flask in person, my feelings have been validated. You can tell that a lot of thought was put into the design process. And can we talk about how effortlessly it combines two products (wine bottle and tumblers) in one??

I also love that the Parkside Flask comes in a bunch of aesthetically-pleasing colors. On the High Camp Flasks website, you’ll find flasks in Cypress, Granite, Parasol Grey and Rosé. And you’ll find equally delicious colors on other websites.

How good is the flask really?

At $129, it honestly isn’t in my price range for a flask, but I do think the Parkside Flask is well worth the price. It’s stunning, and you will absolutely get asked where you got it from if you take it out in public. And every part of the flask feels well-made and secure. You don’t have to worry about the tumblers falling off or your wine leaking (more on that later!). I love that the tumblers are magnetized to fit tightly on the flask, so I don’t have to worry about haphazardly screwing them on wrong and somehow losing one.

It’s the kind of product you actually make plans to use. No plans this weekend? Well, let me go ahead and take my flask to that Saturday afternoon play-in-the-park.

Also, the Parkside Flask is being promoted as a wine flask, but I see no reason why you can’t fill it up with anything you like. Vodka and cran? Grape Kool-Aid? Go for it. Don’t let the fact that it’s wine-centric steer you from buying it if you’re not a wine lover.

A couple of cons.

My biggest gripe with the Parkside Flask is that the exterior is really smooth. It’s smooth in texture and shape, which creates a lack of grip. While carrying it around I felt that I had to hold it against my body for extra security. Given that the flask has a little weight to it once it’s filled with an entire bottle of wine, I felt that it could slip right through my hands. While I do think an added grip would take away from the sleek look of the flask, I do believe that it would be cool to incorporate some fun accessories for easy carrying.

Also, the cup on the bottom of the flask had a couple of scuffs on the inside. Likely because it’s secured on the bottom of the flask pretty tightly as opposed to the cup on top.

Does the Parkside Flask pass the tote bag test?

I don’t know about you all, but being able to toss a flask into my tote bag without having to worry about it leaking is very important. So, to test the Parkside Flask’s tote-bag-ability, I filled the flask with red wine and placed it in my white (!!!) Renaissance World Tour tote bag. I then proceeded to walk into the backyard and swing the tote bag around like a madwoman. I’m pleased to reveal that there was no leakage whatsoever. I was pretty confident though given how tightly the top of the bottle screwed on. I mean, if I wasn’t confident, I probably wouldn’t have conducted this test using a white tote bag that cost me damn near $60.

So yes, I will be toting my Parkside Flask around to picnics and other outdoor gatherings once warmer weather rolls around.

And I’ve got great news for anybody looking to buy a Parkside Flask for themselves or for gifting. From now until December 15, you can enjoy up to 30% off sitewide on the High Camp Flasks website. That means right now, you can get the Parkside Flask for 15% off.
