I Tried Nearly Everything At Lisa Vanderpump’s Newest Restaurant, Pinky’s—Here’s What You HAVE To Order
The Lisa Vanderpump universe is continuing to expand—and no, I’m not talking about the new Vanderpump Rules cast. Although Lisa is hard at work fostering her reality TV empire, she recently opened Pinky’s, her third restaurant on the Las Vegas strip. Located in the Flamingo hotel, Pinky’s is grand in size and heavy on the whimsy. Pale pinks and lavish greens adorn the restaurant while extravagant light fixtures help set the seductive tone. It really is a breathtaking space.
I recently had the opportunity to sip and nosh my way through a number of the items on the Pinky’s menu, and I couldn’t help but share my favorites!
Mini Lobster Rolls ($26.95) - Unfortunately for my wallet, I’ve seen my fair share of lobster rolls. That’s why I had to do a double take when I saw the price of the Mini Lobster Rolls at Pinky’s. You’re telling me that for less than $30, I can get a flight of three premium lobster rolls? Anddd they’re topped with caviar?? Just go ahead and give me four orders. Yes, the lobster rolls are mini, but I did find them to be a good size for a light bite.
Deviled Eggs Garden ($22. 95) - As someone who was raised in Atlanta, Georgia, I wouldn’t believe you if you told me that one of the best deviled eggs I’d ever have would be from a Vegas restaurant. But it’s true! The Deviled Eggs Garden from Pinky’s was such an unexpected highlight for me. The mustard to mayo to yolk ratio was on point and they weren’t stingy on the filling. What I love about the Deviled Eggs Garden is that the deviled eggs taste like your auntie made them, but then they’re garnished with luxe toppings like caviar, lobster salad, and smoked salmon.
Goat Cheese Balls ($22.95) - What’s a Lisa Vanderpump restaurant without Goal Cheese Balls? I’m glad to say that this appetizer lives up to the hype. You can never really go wrong with fried cheese, and I love that the addition of strawberry and honey elevates the taste of Pinky’s Goat Cheese Balls.
Jail Bird ($24.95) - Be sure to have your camera ready because you’ll need to quite literally break this cocktail out of its cage. And it makes for quite the Instagram-worthy moment. Described as a sweet peach Old Fashioned, the Jail Bird combines Woodford Reserve, Angostura bitters, orange bitters, peach, and rosemary. If you’re an Old Fashioned lover like myself then you know that balance is everything. So I’m pleased to say that the Jail Bird hit on all the main notes. It was boozy. It boasted just the right amount of sweetness. And the rosemary was a fragrant surprise.
Side note: As an Old Fashioned lover, it can be disappointing when your friend who ordered the Moca Choca Latte Ya Ya Smoked Espresso Martini gets all the theatrics with their cocktail. So it’s refreshing that the Jail Bird comes with a fun, interactive element.
Daddy Issues ($23.95) - Cotton candy is one of those garnishes that looks amazing, but ultimately turns your cocktail from chic to Sugar Factory (no shade!). I don’t know what Ms. Lisa has going on at Pinky’s, but this may have been the first time cotton candy didn’t make my cocktail overly sweet. Similar to the Jail Bird, balance was on point for the Daddy Issues cocktail. I think that’s in part to a selection of complementary ingredients that include Workdog Vodka, white peach, St. Germain, agave, lemon, aquafaba, and Vanderpump Rosé Sparkling.
