Absolut Just Released a New Tabasco-Flavored Vodka—Here Are the Fiery Cocktails Worth Making

Absolut

Anytime I get a spicy spirit, I’m immediately stumped when it comes to what cocktails I should make. Of course there’s the Bloody Mary, but that’s pretty much where the options come to an end for me. And with Absolut Tabasco serving as the newest fiery liquor to hit the market, I’ve once again been reminded of this cocktail conundrum.

In case you’re wondering how such a spicy offering came to be, Absolut Tabasco was crafted by fusing Absolut vodka with a unique and completely natural essence created from the fermented, aged red pepper mash used to make Tabasco hot sauce. With each sip, you’ll be met with the distinctive heat and aroma of Tabasco.

For Tabasco, the collaboration with Absolut was one that was “long overdue.”

“With more than 150 years of pepper expertise, it only made sense for us at Tabaco Brand to partner with Absolut Vodka, another brand with a storied history that understands and cares about the craft that goes into its product,” said Christian Brown, Head of Agriculture and 6th generation family member, McIlhenny Company, makers of Tabasco Brand products, in a statement. “Tabasco Brand exists to light up everything we touch, and the powerful blending of these two iconic liquids (and unforgettable bottles) is long overdue!”

So back to those cocktails. While you absolutely can mix up a Bloody Mary with Absolut Tabasco, the brand has come up with a handful of additional drink recipes that turn up the heat in ways you wouldn’t expect. Which one are you eager to dive into first?
