I think it’s safe to say that we can call matcha a flavor phenom at this point. The powdered green tea has found itself on coffee shop menus across the globe and it’s showing no sign of losing steam (no pun intended). But did you matcha lovers know that a matcha liqueur exists?

That matcha liqueur is called YOSHI and it’s been met with pretty impressive reviews from cocktail lovers. Described as being “built for Gen Z and Millennial tastemakers,” YOSHI blends ceremonial-grade matcha with oat milk. It’s low-ABV, non-dairy, gluten-free, and low in sugar and calories.

I’ve yet to get my hands on a bottle of YOSHI, but I did hop on Reddit to see what the general consensus is on the liquer, and It’s pretty impressive. One person even referred to YOSHI as “absolutely phenomenal.”

“Absolutely phenomenal, been drinking matcha for years on its own and was very impressed by it. Nice and creamy and a little sweet, great if you love matcha,” they wrote.

And just in time for summer, YOSHI is already making the rounds at some pretty impressive bars.

“Yoshi has just made it to all of the top bars in Miami, Vail CO, NYC, LA and the Hamptons,” another user shared.

Matcha Martini

YOSHI

Ingredients

2 oz Yoshi Matcha Liqueur

1 oz Vodka, Tequila, or Gin

0.5 oz Simple Syrup

Matcha dusting

Cold Foam On top

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a shaker and shake with ice until frosty. Strain into a martini glass and top generously with the vanilla cold foam. Garnish with a sprinkle of matcha powder!
