The beverage brand known for its cool, crisp hard ciders is embracing the heat with its latest release, a small-batch ultra-spicy cider that was steeped with habanero and aji amarillo peppers for six months. As if the World’s Angriest Cider wasn’t already heated enough, the new beverage is described as being “bottled up with the frustration of our fans.” And they mean that quite literally.
Angry Orchard previously set up a national anger hotline that gave fans the chance to unleash their irritations. They then blasted those grievances into the spicy cider through a 12-foot wall of speakers at the Angry Orchard Cider House in Walden, New York. Well geez, where was I when the hotline was around?
