Smirnoff is continuing to add to their line of low-calorie vodkas thanks to the release of two new, seasonal flavors, Sorbet Light Summer Strawberry and Sorbet Light White Peach. Similar to other Sorbet Light flavors, which include Raspberry Pomegranate and Pineapple Coconut, the two newest additions are low on the calories with only 78 calories per 1.5 oz. serving and full on flavor. Sorbet Light Summer Strawberry boasts a flavor reminiscent of ripe strawberries while Sorbet Light White Peach keeps it heavily peachy with the addition of flavors similar to that of “juicy sweet peaches.”
Pinnacle Vodka Launches Pinnacle Amaretto
Famous for their variety of whipped and fruity flavors, Pinnacle Vodka is switching things up a bit with their newest addition, Pinnacle Amaretto. Pinnacle Amaretto is described as a vodka that flaunts “a full-bodied almond flavor with undertones of cherry and a smooth, lingering cocoa finish” and will likely be a welcomed addition to all those fall cocktails.
“Pinnacle Vodka is known for pioneering high quality premium vodka with out-of-this-world flavors,” said Jason Dolenga, Senior Brand Director of Vodka at Beam Suntory, in a statement. “We’re committed to continually providing new, fun flavors that we know our Pinnacle fans will enjoy. Amaretto is no exception.”
Look out for both Pinnacle Amaretto and Smirnoff’s newest Sorbet Light flavors at a liquor store near you this season.
You ever wonder what cocktails your favorite holiday characters would treat themselves to if that opportunity ever presented itself? Come on, I know I’m not the only one on that boat. Well, that thought has definitely passed my mind this month since Home Alone and Home Alone 2 have aired a total of 13,234 times this week alone, and I’ve seen 208.8 versions of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” on TV. So, in addition to hopefully adding a little humor this holiday season, my cocktail choices for The Wet Bandits, Ebeneezer Scrooge, Ralphie’s dad, and more will hopefully give you a few options for this week’s holiday festivities. Enjoy!
Frosty The Snowman – “Minty Mistletoe”
Imagine the pain of knowing that you can never truly indulge in a hot cocktail. Thankfully for Frosty, there are a number of hot cocktails that can be enjoyed while cold. You know, for those days when you don’t want to turn into a pile of water. Also, something tells me Frosty would be a big fan of all things Pinnacle.

Like many people, I think I’ve only ever come across Cinnabon at the airport (although there are a few chains in the Atlanta area), but I’m still fully aware of the magic their melt-in-your-mouth cinnamon buns are capable of thanks to their make-you-wanna-slap-your-mama deliciousness. And with the announcement of the new Pinnacle Cinnabon Vodka I have to say that I’m pretty excited about Pinnacle Vodka’s newest addition.
I’m sure some of you may be a little critical of this new Pinnacle Vodka flavor since vodka companies have gotten a little crazy over the past few years, but Pinnacle Cinnabon Vodka sounds like it’s capable of making some pretty delicious cocktails especially for the holidays. In fact, you can find recipes for two of these “delicious cocktails” below (courtesy of Pinnacle Vodka). But first, here are a few more details on Pinnacle Cinnabon Vodka, including a statement from the president of Cinnabon.
“As a brand that continually seeks out new opportunities and channels for our fans to enjoy our world famous treats and flavors, collaborating with an industry leading brand like Pinnacle Vodka and backed by spirits leader Beam is very exciting,” said Kat Cole, President of Cinnabon, Inc. “We’re delighted to have our favorite cinnamon roll flavor captured so perfectly within this premium spirit.”
Pinnacle Cinnabon Vodka will be available in select markets on December 1, 2013 and will then make a nationwide push on January 1, 2014. A 750ml bottle of the vodka will retail for about $12.99.
In a matter of weeks we’ll be switching from shades to scarves and from daiquiris to Irish coffees. Yes, we’ll be saying goodbye to summer next week as we celebrate Labor Day, so you might as well indulge in a little spiked punch or one of many seasonal cocktails while you still can.
If boozy, fruity punches aren’t quite your cup of tea then I’ve also included the drink recipe for the sweet and savory “EFFEN Salted Caramel Popcorn Martini.” I mean, you really can’t go wrong with a cocktail that’s made using caramel popcorn. And if you’re hoping to tap into your inner mixologist this Labor Day, there’s also the Jaime Salas-created “Hi Teq Punch,” a cocktail that combines Milagro Silver, hibiscus tea, and Lillet Rose. But if it’s spiked punch you fancy then I’ve got plenty of those recipes as well. Check ‘em out below and be sure to have a safe and enjoyable Labor Day weekend! Cheers!

Since we’re already a week into the month of August, we’ve got a lot of catching up to do when it concerns “National Eat Your Dessert First Month.” Yes, you read that correctly. There’s an entire month dedicated to indulging in dessert before noshing on your meat and potatoes or whatever your dinner might be. And if you prefer to sip your dessert, a spiked one at that, Pinnacle Vodka has a handful of drink recipes that are perfect for kicking off “National Eat Your Dessert First Month.” Here’s to hoping September is “National Burn All Those Calories You Packed On In August Month.”

The Twinkie is one of those foods where even though you might not find yourself indulging in their fluffy goodness that often, it’s nice to know they’re around if you ever want to munch on the famed snack. So, when it was announced that Hostess, the makers of the famed Twinkie, were closing their doors last year a number of people nearly lost their minds. Thankfully though, after that brief scare it was announced that a new owner would take over the Hostess brand. You can now expect the Twinkie to return to store shelves next week. And to celebrate this momentous occasion, and trust me it is momentous, Pinnacle Vodka has released a handful of decadent, Twinkie and other Hostess treats-inspired cocktails. You can find the recipes to Pinnacle’s boozy treats below. Enjoy!

When the clock strikes 5 P.M. today and your work week officially ends, chances are pretty high that you’ll then scramble to the mall for that perfect Mother’s Day gift. Or if that’s not the case, you’ll probably immediately whip out your smartphone and scour OpenTable in the hopes of finding the ideal Mother’s Day brunch spot. Am I right? Well, since you’re likely going to spend most of the weekend planning for Sunday, if anything, at least you don’t have to put in too much effort finding that winning Mother’s Day cocktail. I’ve gone ahead and included the drink recipes to a handful of Mother’s Day-inspired drink recipes to make your weekend a little easier. If you happen to hate Valentine’s Day, that is fully understandable, but instead of punching pillows all day or throwing pictures and various other memento’s of your ex into a fireplace, why not enjoy a cocktail or two? While there are plenty of cocktails dedicated to Valentine’s Day there’s also plenty of drink recipes that are a little more anti-Valentine’s Day friendly. Take for instance EFFEN Vodka’s “EFFEN Bitter Truth,” that name alone just screams “Valentine’s Day is for chumps.” And if you’re hoping to make the holiday a little more relaxing there’s also Van Gogh Vodka’s “Dutch Tea” which is a decadent combination of Van Gogh Dutch Chocolate Vodka, tea, heavy cream, and sugar.
Personally, I think that if you’re without a boo on V-Day you should celebrate the holiday with friends and EFFEN Vodka’s “Toast Of The Town” is ideal for that kind of occasion. If those cocktails haven’t quite tickled your fancy then I’ve also included drink recipes from Pinnacle Vodka, Jim Beam, and Cruzan Rum.
