If you’re like me, and have yet to buy a single Christmas gift, then you’re probably going to need a solid cocktail at some point this weekend, as you begin your last-minute shopping. It’s not easy fighting the masses at Target or having to pass on buying yourself those thigh-high boots because you’ve already blown your gifting budget. So, you should definitely treat yourself once it’s all said and done. If you need some boozy inspiration, I’ve gone ahead and compiled a list featuring a few of my favorite holiday cocktails. Cheers!

This Holiday Season, Cozy Up To These Cocktails Straight Outta The Caribbean

With snow in the Southeast and frigid temps in the North, “brrrr” has become an all too familiar declaration this December. It’s cold. Super cold. Aggravatingly cold. With that being said, at least there is the option of cozying up at home with a holiday-inspired cocktail straight from the Caribbean. Despite what’s being served up at holiday parties and your local watering hole, winter cocktails don’t have to be all boozy hot chocolate and cranberry-pomegranate sangria. Below you’ll find drink recipes to two cocktails (both of which are served at hotels in the Caribbean) that are equal parts holiday cheer and beach-y bliss.

But if your dessert table is in need of revamping this holiday season, try incorporating a few dessert cocktails. You can up the ante on your standard, boozy hot chocolate with Zacapa’s Peppermint Rum Cocoa or indulge in Smirnoff’s deliciously decadent Gingerbread Martini.

Forget The OJ: Mimosa Alternatives Perfect For Your Holiday Brunch

the-8th-day

Tis’ the season to let the mimosas chill for a bit. Don’t get me wrong, mimosas are great. But for me, they aren’t very indicative of the holiday season. Instead of serving up your standard mimosas during your holiday brunch, why not switch things up this year?

Not ready to ditch the bubbly just yet? The “Absolut Shining Star” is pretty similar to the mimosa, but instead of OJ and prosecco, it calls for cranberry cordial, sparkling wine, and vodka. For another brunch-friendly option, there’s “The 8th Day” cocktail from Havana Club. A decadent combination of Havana Club, chai tea, and coconut milk, “The 8th Day” is a boozy must for the holidays.

Check out recipes for both cocktails and more, below. Cheers!

The 8th Day (Pictured Above)

INGREDIENTS

1 ½ parts HAVANA CLUB Añejo Clásico
3 parts Chai Tea
1 ¾ parts coconut milk
1 part simple syrup or 1tbs white sugar

DIRECTIONS
