To not be much of a drinker, producer/rapper Pharrell Williams sure is doing his thing in the liquor/spirits world. Pharrell recently launched Qream Liqueur and it now looks like he’s representing Smirnoff as well. The producer appears in a unique one-minute ad for the vodka brand which hit the internet late last week. It’s a pretty cool ad, but I’m still trying to figure out why Pharrell looks so sad. If I had access to unlimited amounts of Qream Liqueur and Smirnoff I would be quite the happy camper.
In my opinion lemonade is the ultimate drink mixer. I’m sorry Coke, I’m sorry cranberry juice but I’m just being honest here. Lemonade adds a sweet and tangy edge to vodka, tequila, and even whisky. So on the eve of National Lemonade Day (August 20) I of course had to post a few lemonade inspired drink recipes. Today’s recipes come courtesy of Canadian Club Whisky which makes for a smooth addition when it comes to most lemonade-based drink recipes. (Side note: If you plan on making any lemonade-based drinks you’ve got to use Simply Lemonade. It’s absolutely delicious!)

If Hennessy weren’t already Lushworthy enough, the French cognac brand has teamed up with New York-based artist KAWS for a truly one of a kind bottle. KAWS’ Henny creation features the artists signature “X’s” on the label as well as some eye-popping, colorful graphics. The combination of colors that aren’t typical of Hennessy’s palette really makes the bottle pop, but what I found to be the most interesting is the quote on the back of the bottle which reads, “Friends Work Music Art It’s Important To Find The Right Blend…KAWS.” Good luck getting your hand on one of these, only a select number of bottles were made.
On top of this Sauza S’mores Margarita looking absolutely delicious it also seems like a very worthy summer to fall transition drink. It’s served cool so it still manages to maintain the coolness of a summer drink, but the fact that it’s a s’mores margarita absolutely reminds me of fall. And I personally believe that you can never ever go wrong with any type of alcoholic beverage that’s made with chocolate. So for all you people out there who are heavy on theme parties and plan on throwing an outdoorsy/camping inspired party in the near future then I think you’ve found your cocktail of choice with the Sauza S’mores Margarita.
The Sauza S’mores Margarita
6 ounces Sauza® Silver Tequila
1/2 cup chocolate syrup
4 ounces chocolate liqueur
1/3 cup cream
Chocolate-Marshmallow Creme Sauce
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Pour into prepared glasses rimmed with Chocolate-Marshmallow Creme Sauce. Garnish with a skewer of mini marshmallows. (Makes four servings)
A little over a month ago Atlanta rapper CyHi The Prynce brought the Heineken Red Star Access tour to Atlanta and the tour returned to the city yet again this week for a performance from D.C. rapper Wale. The festivities all went down at Compound nightclub and there were of course plenty of cold Heineken’s for attendee’s to sip on. Prior to Wale’s performance deejay’s Mick Boogie and DJ Holiday kept the momentum going as they spun various tunes. During his performance Wale brought out several special guests including Atlanta rapper Pill and Two Chainz. From viewing the various Tweets about this latest Heineken event it sounds like it was again quite the success and I’m hoping the tour hits the city for another show before the year’s up. For those of you in other cities click here for Heineken Red Star Access’ remaining tour dates.
