Over the weekend I had the opportunity to cover Moet’s Rose Lounge at the elegant Mansion on Peachtree and it was truly an amazing event. Hosted by Atlanta singer Keri Hilson, the event was one of four Rose Lounge events that will take place in various cities. The last Rose Lounge was hosted by Kelly Rowland in New York City.
Prior to Keri Hilson’s arrival guests were treated to coconut shrimp, spinach-stuffed pastries, chocolate-covered strawberries, and other decadent treats. DJ Trauma spun everything from Frank Ocean to Gyptian and you know the Moet Rose was of course flowing. The venue was decorated with pale pink flowers and there was practically a Moet bottle everywhere you turned. Finally, at the height of the party Keri Hilson arrived sporting a black leather bustier and cat-eye sunglasses.
Yea, it was a pretty darn good night. Check out a few pics from the event below and be sure to check Lushworthy tomorrow for a short Q&A with Ms. Hilson. Shout out to Jason McCullough for the pics!
If you weren’t fortunate enough to check out the Belve Music Lounge at Lollapalooza over the weekend, fret not my friend because I’ve found the drink recipes for three of the featured cocktails at the event. Keeping with the music-over-everything vibe of the weekend Belvedere served their signature “Belve Beat” and “Grapefruit Rocks” cocktails to those in attendance. On top of those music-themed cocktails, the “Belvedere Lemonade” was also featured. Check out recipes for all three drinks below.
This Friday, August 5th Atlanta boutique Coposhi will host a sexy swimsuit fashion show that will include looks from the always fashion-forward Diesel as part of their monthly “First Friday” event. Sponsored by Skyy Vodka, you can guarantee that the drinks are sure to be flowing at “First Friday.” The event will take place at Coposhi’s Buckhead location from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Click here to RSVP to “First Friday.”
I remember a few years ago when I lived in a student dorm in Brooklyn, I went out to get an iced frappucino from Starbucks one night and everyone thought I was absolutely crazy because it was literally 20 degrees outside. That being said I have absolutely no problem drinking this very, very winter-friendly cocktail from Partida Tequila in the dead of summer because it sounds absolutely delicious. It’s called the “Heated Affair” and it’s basically hot apple cider but with a tequila kick. Oh, and did I mention there’s heavy cream involved? Yummy.
2 oz Partida Anejo Tequila
6 oz Hot Spiced Apple Cider
In a small warm wine glass add tequila and hot apple cider. Float heavy cream. Garnish with fresh nutmeg over cream.
