So while browsing the net I’ve come across a few pictures of what appears to be some new kind ofCorona. It’s in the regular Corona bottle, but instead of a yellowish hue it has more of a red one. I of course assumed that Corona was introducing some new kind of beer, but after doing a little research I found out that that’s not the case. It’s called the “Candy Corona” and it’s a regular bottle of Corona but with a splash of grenadine and vodka added to it. Apparently it’s the “new new.” I gotta be honest with you guys though, I’m sure I’ll give this a shot just to see what’s it’s about but it sounds pretty awful if you ask me.
Just the thought of Corona and grenadine is making my stomach do flips. Who came up with that? And to be honest I might feel a tad embarrassed asking a bartender to make a “Candy Corona.” I just pray that they know what it is and that I don’t have to explain to them that I want a bottle of Corona with a shot of vodka and grenadine it. That might just warrant an immediate call to AA. But I shall man up for the masses and give this very unique drink a try. Check for a review on here some time next week. And for those eager to try the “Candy Corona” check out the recipe below.
1 shot vodka
1 tbsp grenadine
1 bottle of Corona
A slice of lime
Drink your bottle of Corona a little bit past the neck. Add the shot of vodka and grenadine. Tightly cover the top of your bottle and shake to mix ingredients. Add a slice of lime.

The Belve Music Lounge has set up shop at some of the country’s biggest music events so it’s no surprise that they’ll be invading Lollapalooza next month in Chicago. Belvedere Vodka will hold their Belve Music Lounge on August 5th and August 6th and all you have to do to attend is RSVP via their Facebook page. Make sure you RSVP now because space is very limited. I don’t even know how I came across this recipe on eHow.com, but I must say that you really have to be one lushworthy individual to think to combine vodka and gummy bears. But hey I’m not complaining. This is one recipe that will without a doubt be added to my growing Rolodex of drink and alcohol related recipes.
Step 1: Buy a pound of gummy bears and put them in a tall glass or mug.
Step 2: Pour vodka into the glass of gummy bears until it comes to the top of the gummy bears.
Step 3: Cover the mug with plastic wrap and put the mug in the fridge for about five days. Don’t get afraid after two days or so when there is a lot of sugary goo that is some remnants of the sugar from the gummy bears mixing with some of the remaining vodka. This will go away after the four days of soaking in the fridge, and all that will be left will be giant soaked vodka gummy bears.
In this recent installment of “The Plight Of Pill,” Atlanta rapper and Maybach Music’s own Pill spoke on how important it is to drink responsibly. As much as rappers refer to their Hennessy, Moet, etc. it was kind of refreshing hearing Pill speak on the negative side of drinking. The rapper referred to a particular, unfortunate incident which resulted in two DUI’s and gave a few words of advice as well.
“Just a message to the younger kids in college drinking. If you drinking you gotta pay attention to you drink. If you set your drink down don’t go back and drink it. If you with some friends make sure everybody’s watching everybody. Cause somebody could easily put something in your drink,” said Pill.
Yea, this blog is about all that’s great about the liquor and spirits world but at the end of the day drinking responsibly is major and I can’t even begin to stress how important it is. In fact, I’ve even created a new category for Lushworthy that’s dedicated completely to drinking responsibly.
