If you follow me on Instagram, then you probably recall seeing a photo of several large mugs of beer during my #LushworthyInNYC visit to New York. Well, during my visit, my friends and I were able to take part in a little Oktoberfest fun at The Beergarden at the Andaz Wall Street. I’m more of a cocktail gal, so unfortunately, I tend to sometimes neglect the wonderful world of beer.
I’m a picky beer drinker, but at the end of the day I do consider myself a beer drinker overall. My friends on the other hand, not so much. You’ll never catch them with a brew in hand. While at The Beergarden at the Andaz Wall Street, we all opted for a mug of Schöfferhofer Grapefruit. And let me tell you…I. Am. In. Love. It was delicious. I had no idea what to expect. It’s heavy on the fruity side, which I enjoyed. Thankfully, it also lacks that grapefruit bitterness that I personally dread. Oh! And believe it or not, my non-beer-drinking friends might actually be on board the brew bandwagon thanks to Schöfferhofer Grapefruit.
Other beers served at The Beergarden include Radeberger Pilsener, Erdinger Weissbier, Bluepoint Oktoberfest, and Lagunitas IPA. All beers can be purchased in regular glasses or large, shareable boots.
We also had the opportunity to sample two different, Sigmund’s pretzels during our visit. One was a cheese pretzel while the other was a standard, salted pretzel. The salted pretzel was heavy on the salty side. No bueno. But the cheese pretzel, like most everything made with cheese, was pretty tasty.
The Beergarden is of course outdoors, and we really lucked out with the weather in New York during our visit. It was perfect for relaxing outside while sipping on a new favorite.
If you’re hoping to visit The Beergarden, take note that it’s open until the end of October, Tuesdays through Fridays.
***A complimentary food and drink tasting was provided by the Andaz Wall Street, but the thoughts in this post are fully my own.
