On a recent trip to Orlando, I realized the genius that is Grand Marnier. Not that I’d never enjoyed this fine cognac liqueur in the past, but I’m certainly guilty of overlooking it. I swore when I got back home I’d include this in a cocktail, but wasn’t able to come up with anything unique enough to post for the world to try. Enter Grand Marnier’s second installment in their Signature Collection, their liqueur with a blend of raspberries and peaches, PERFECT!

Back into the lab I went and the result was A Day At The Peach. A sweetheart of a cocktail, literally. The mission was to really compliment the fruity notes Grand Marnier offered, while also being refreshing going down. If you’re a fan of fruity cocktails or just Grand Mariner in general, try this on for size. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Cheers!


1 oz Peach Schnapps
1/2 oz Cointreau
Splash of Chambord Liqueur
1/4 oz Grenadine
3/4 oz Peach Nectar
1/2 oz Grand Mariner Signature Collection No. 2
Splash of Lemon Lime soda
Peach (sliced)


In a shaker with ice, combine peach schnapps, Cointreau, Chambord and peach nectar. Shake and pour into a rocks glass. Drizzle grenadine down the side of the glass to give a red bottom affect. Top the cocktail off with Grand Mariner and a splash of lemon lime soda. Drop in some raspberries and a peach slice as a garnish.
