Drink Recipes: Wild Turkey & American Honey Encourage You To Toast To The Holidays With These Decadent Cocktails

I’m sure it’s awfully tempting to splash a little rum in your egg nog and be done with your holiday cocktail, but with so many creative and mouth-watering holiday inspired drink recipes out there why not shake things up a bit with a new cocktail option? I mean, why would you even consider opting for a bland, spiked egg nog when you can instead whip up Wild Turkey’s so-good-it’ll-make-you-smack-Santa “Smashed Pumpkin” cocktail? And if you happen to prefer your Wild Turkey on the fruitier, more refreshing side then there’s always the Master Sommelier Fred Dexheimer-created “Pass The Turkey” which combines both apple cider and cranberry jelly. Lastly, if you’re hoping to get the party started you can always treat your guests to the celebratory “American Honey Red Santa” which is topped off with champagne. Smashed Pumpkin (Pictured Above)

INGREDIENTS

1 oz Wild Turkey 101
1/4 oz almond liqueur
1/4 oz cinnamon schnapps
2 oz pumpkin pie filling
1/2 oz heavy cream

DIRECTIONS

Puree or froth pumpkin pie filling with heavy cream. Mix with other ingredients in a shaker with ice; shake well and strain into a martini glass. Rim with crumbled graham crackers and a cinnamon stick; top with a dash of cinnamon or nutmeg.

Pass The Turkey

INGREDIENTS

1.5 oz Wild Turkey 101
2 oz apple cider
1 tbs cranberry jelly
1 sprig fresh sage
1 sprig fresh thyme

DIRECTIONS 

Muddle sage and thyme with apple cider. Add ice, top with Wild Turkey and cranberry jelly. Shake well, strain over ice in a glass rimmed with turkey jus and breadcrumbs.

American Honey Red Santa

INGREDIENTS

1 oz American Honey Liqueur
1 oz Peach Nectar
5 Raspberries
Squeeze of Lemon
Top Off With Champagne or Sparkling Wine
1 sugar cube

DIRECTIONS

Muddle ingredients (except sugar cube) and shake over ice. Place sugar cube in the bottom of the glass and strain drink over it. Top with Champagne or sparkling wine.
