Has Anyone Tried Big Ang Of “Mob Wives” Red Wine & Cream Soda Concoction?

If you watched VH1’s “Mob Wives” last night then you probably remember seeing a scene where Big Ang asks her son AJ if he wants any red wine and cream soda. Now prior to watching “Mob Wives: The Sit Down,” the post-show that comes on after “Mob Wives,”  I thought Big Ang was offering her son red wine and cream soda separately. But nooo it’s actually cream soda in red wine! Now upon hearing this I gave Big Ang’s drink concoction a major side eye, but then I thought about it for a second. Some people including myself use ginger ale to cut the bitterness of red wine and sangria is made using ginger ale and sometimes lemon-lime soda. That being said what’s wrong with Big Ang adding a bit of cream soda to her red wine?! Honestly, I think she might be on to something.

    1. Yea, we definitely have to call it the “Big Ang.” I’m looking forward to trying it. What type of red wine did you use?

    2. I agree. I also give it a solid 7. I was actually surprised that it was as good as it was. My husband who does not drink alot of red wine enjoyed it also.

  1. I saw Big Ang on Bravo”s Andy Cohen last night, and was intrigued by the way this drink might taste. Sounded pretty interesting, and yummy. Looked up the recipe online (1/3 glass red wine, top with cream soda). I used a good Pinot Noir for the wine. Meh. Three sips and I poured it down the drain. Cream Soda tastes better with Cream Soda. And red wine tastes better without it.

  2. I guess it’s an Italian thing my parents make it as well! Delicious 🙂 and if it’s not you must be doing it wrong!

  3. yES i AM DRINKING IT NOW AND THIS IS THE ONLY WAY for me to drink it.I am not a red wine fan but this I can do.It takes the dryness out of the red wine I really like it

  4. All I can say is yummy! Not just an itallian thing my friends for this sista, who is opposed to all things dry tasting and not really a drinker but enjoys the occasional buzz, really enjoyed it. Thanks Big Ang! As for the recipe, I think the only purpose of the cream soda is like previously stated is to cut the dryness and add some sweetness so the recipe should just be sweeten to ur own personal taste….1/3 wine, the rest cream soda prob won’t get u there, lol.
