Ciroc & Peroni Present The Launch Of “The Sunset Lounge” At Atlanta Restaurant Shout This Weekend (Video)

With the weather beginning to warm up that means a lot of the weekly, monthly series you enjoyed last spring/summer will be slowly making their returns. The Sunset Lounge, which takes place on the rooftop of Atlanta restaurant Shout, is one series that will be launching this Sunday (March 25). And from the looks of the video they’ve released promoting the series I’m sure they’ll be plenty of Ciroc and Peroni to go around.

With The Release Of Van Gogh’s Peanut Butter & Jelly Vodka Has Flavored Vodka Gone Too Far?

Gummy bears, birthday cake, marshmallows…yes these are all sweets you’ll find at a toddler’s birthday party, but oddly enough those are also the flavors of  various vodka’s. Years ago it seemed like vodka was merely flavored with fruits: coconut, raspberry, lemon, etc. Eventually though more unique flavors were added thanks to various vodka brands. Yea, it was pretty cool at first. I personally think that  any “whipped” flavored vodka is the bomb diggity, but the flavors of course began to get out of hand. I won’t name names, but I’m sure we all know an absurd vodka flavor when we see one.

I hate to pick on Van Gogh’s PB & J Vodka, but it just so happened to be the vodka I came across which triggered the whole “has flavored vodka gone too far” debate for me. I’ve definitely seen far worse than Van Gogh’s PB & J Vodka and quite frankly I’m a little bit curious as to how it tastes. But seriously though if I see a pickle-flavored vodka or a Pop Tart-flavored vodka I swear I’m going to hit up the Russian’s about this. And you know they don’t want to see their beloved vodka pimped out like this!

Lushworthy Pics: Cocktails, Popcorn & An Advanced Screening Of The New HBO Series “GIRLS”

Last night (March 22), I had the opportunity to check out the screening of HBO’s newest series “GIRLS” and it turned out to be quite the good time. The screening took place at Atlanta’s King Plow Arts Center and prior to taking in two episodes of the 30-minute show attendee’s snacked on fresh popcorn and enjoyed cocktails, beer, and wine. I actually tried my hand at a whiskey and ginger beer cocktail for the first time, which I hear is quite popular, and it was pretty darn tasty.

“GIRLS”  is being promoted as kind of an anti “Sex & The City,” but there’s quite a few similarities between both shows if you ask me. For instance they both consist of four women living in New York City and both shows seem to focus on one central character as the voice of the show. The verdict on “GIRLS” is still up in the air for me, but I definitely laughed enough to tune in again. “GIRLS” will premiere on HBO on April 15 at 10:30 P.M.

Drink Recipes: Belvedere Vodka To Debut Belvedere Lemon Tea At Belve Music Lounge In Miami

If you won’t be in Miami this week for the Belve Music Lounge (don’t worry I’m in the same boat) here’s yet another reason to gloat on your misfortune. Belvedere Vodka will actually be serving up cocktails made with their new Belvedere Lemon Tea during their three-day long Belve Music Lounge. The cocktail which features Belvedere Lemon Tea is actually called the “Belvedere Turntable Teabreeze” and consists of Belvedere Lemon Tea, cloudy apple, and coconut water. Other cocktails to be served at the Belve Music Lounge include the “Belve Beat” and “Belvedere Lemonade Power Mix.”

Can’t wait to try the “Belvedere Turntable Teabreeze?” Well, Belvedere Lemon Tea will be released in April so you don’t have to wait too long to get your hands on this cocktail.

Unveiling The Mysterious Cocktail Featured In The “ABSOLUT Greyhound” Commercial

Okay “mysterious” may be a bit of an exaggeration, but I was really curious as to what the cocktail featured in the “ABSOLUT Greyhound” commercial is. So I did some reaching out and was able to find out what our mystery cocktail is. And believe it or not the drink featured in the commercial is actually a combination of ABSOLUT Vodka and pink grapefruit juice and like the commercial it’s called the “ABSOLUT Greyhound” Why such a basic cocktail? Well, it’s actually part of a campaign ABSOLUT is taking part in to bring their consumers “back to the basics.”

Keeping Eye Contact During A Toast & The “Bad Sex For 7 Years” Myth

Late last year I attended an event at Drinkshop in the W Atlanta Downtown and I met a great group of ladies while hanging at the bar. We all ordered a round of drinks and after receiving our drinks we did a toast. Now I don’t know about you guys but when I do a toast I usually keep eye contact during the toast, but then I look at the person’s glass when we’re actually “clinking” glasses. But apparently this is a major no-no! One of the women who was with us, who happened to be from Italy, informed us that not looking someone in the eyes during a toast can lead to…[drum roll please]…seven years of bad sex! Ahhhh!! Needless to say I’m all about eye contact now.

Prior to attending the event at Drinkshop last year I had never heard about this myth, but apparently it’s pretty popular among Europeans. And according to InsideTheTravelLab.com not only do you have to maintain eye contact but you can’t cross anyone’s arm either. Continue reading

Drink Recipes: Camarena Tequila Cocktails Inspired By The Upcoming Film “The Hunger Games”

I’ll be honest with you, I’m not very familiar with the book “The Hunger Games” is based off of but I can say that this movie looks hella good. And with a RottenTomatoes.com score that’s currently at 100% I will certainly be at my local movie theater when “The Hunger Games” is released this Friday, March 23rd. But if you find yourself a little too excited for the release of “The Hunger Games” then you may want to relax a bit with a cocktail. And I’m sure one of these “The Hunger Games” inspired cocktails from Camarena Tequila will easily do the trick. They all sound pretty delicious, but with its homemade spiced orange syrup I really need to get my hands on that “Girl On Fire” cocktail.

ABSOLUT Vodka Gets Quite Creative With Their New “ABSOLUT Greyhound” Commercial (Video)

I came across the much shorter version of this “ABSOLUT Greyhound” commercial the other day while watching TV and was pretty intrigued by it so I hopped online, did some research, and discovered the much longer version of this ad by ABSOLUT. I’m not sure what inspired ABSOLUT to go with this futuristic Greyhound race theme, but I love it. And the cars, cocktails, and elaborate costumes make it that much better.
