Looks Like We’ve Got Ourselves A Whipped Cream Vodka War (Smirnoff vs. Pinnacle)

I’ll admit my headline might be a bit on the exaggerated side, but what “beef” doesn’t include a little exaggeration here and there. Even if it is only between vodka companies and not rappers. But earlier today I was on my Facebook page which happens to be littered with liquor ads, probably thanks to my numerous Lushworthy posts, and I saw this ad from PinnacleΒ which is a pretty obvious shot at Smirnoff and their new whipped vodka.Β The Pinnacle ad reads, “Pinnacle is the ORIGINAL whipped vodka. At 70 proof it kicks the pants off the 60 proof competition. Click LIKE if you agree.” Can somebody say shots fired.Β

I have a personal favorite among the two, but I won’t be sharing that πŸ˜‰ But I did pair both Pinnacle and Smirnoff against each other in specific categories. Check it out below.

Better Spokesperson: Smirnoff (Now this one’s an obvious no brainer especially due to the fact that Pinnacle doesn’t have a spokesperson and Smirnoff has Amber Rose.)

Most Facebook Likes: Pinnacle (Pinnacle has Smirnoff by almost 100,000 Likes. Yikes!)

Most Twitter Followers: Pinnacle (Okay, in actuality Smirnoff has about 20,000 more followers than Pinnacle but Pinnacle’s following me on Twitter so they win by default.)

Better Bottle: Tie (I love the fact that Pinnacle’s bottle is blue, but the bottle for Smirnoff Whipped has a nice elegant look to it so I’m at a loss.)

Now this Smirnoff vs. Pinnacle beef has enough steam behind it to turn into something far worse than the East Coast vs. West Coast rivalry of the 90’s so I hope both parties keep things cordial.

  1. Love the article…bring on the competition! Quick correction though…SmirnoffUS (which is where Smirnoff Whipped Cream is sold) actually has over 850K more Facebook “Likes” than Pinnacle

  2. Great article….I found it and your awesome site via Pinnacle Vodka on Facebook. Was hoping; however, for a little more of your personal reflection on the “Dueling Whips”. πŸ™‚ I’m not a vodka drinker….but before my opinions are dismissed, let me correct that and say I’m not a regular vodka drinker. Oh well that’s not right either….I am a regular vodka drinker hahaha but not the regular “original” Vodka only Whipped Vodka, regularly. πŸ™‚ I found Pinnacle Whipped about 6 months ago and fell in love. Mind you, I’m not a sweet drinker of sorts and usually find that Bailey’s is the sweetest thing to cross my lips….I’m a beer gal…WAS. haha We had a dinner party this past weekend and we allowed a friend to tread the threshold with Smirnoff Whipped. I’m pretty faithful to my passions and wasn’t sure how inviting I should be. πŸ™‚ But to my surprise Smirnoff Whipped was pretty good. It’s definitely a sweeter flavor than Pinnacle Whipped….dare I even say that they don’t really even compare?! I took a swig of both directly from the bottle…yep, pretty classy…and I was fairly certain that the Smirnoff should have been titled “Vanilla” not “Whipped”. It’s just got that sweet, sugary rush of taste that you’d expect from that kind of title. But for the record, I’m staying true to my passion….Pinnacle Whipped. Just really enjoy the sweetness and backbone of it more than I do making that sugary, squenched-up face as with Smirnoff. hahaha Thanks for “listening”! Here’s to the continued success of the “Dueling Whips”!

    1. Thanks so much for your comment Jennifer! And I’m so glad you like my site πŸ™‚ I think you’re on to something with the whole flavor thing. I do feel like Smirnoff Whipped is lacking a bit when it comes to the whipped cream flavor.

It’s funny that we were both introduced to Pinnacle Whipped around the same time. I had it at a bar over the summer with some Whynatte (dee-lish!) then I bought a bottle of Pinnacle’s Orange Whipped Cream and mixed it with orange soda for another tasty combination.

  3. I tried Pinnacle around March this year. I just tried Smirnoff’s over Christmas.I have to agree with that the Smirnoff is lighter on that real whipped creme taste.Which for me was good cause I could drink much more of it before the sweet turned my stomach (just had it with OJ). I recall Pinnacle being heavy on the authentic flaovor. It was nice but I could only stomach about 2 of the drinks I had. Personally I’d probabaly go with Smirnoff.
