In honor of the upcoming 100th anniversary of Henry Flagler’s Florida Keys Over-Sea Railroad a 22-year-old student has created an award-winning drink recipe celebrating the momentous occasion. The name of the drink is “Flagler’s Rusty Spike” and it was created by New Jersey native turned Floridian Joshua Zajac.
“I pondered what I could mix together that I could call a ‘Rusty Spike,'” said Zajac in a statement. “I remember drinking warm apple cider during cold days while growing up in New Jersey.”
On top of being the top cocktail at the Key Largo Chamber of Commerce’s 30th Annual Cookoff, “Flagler’s Rusty Spike” is also a very fall/winter friendly drink. So feel free to whip up this cocktail for a celebration of your own this season.

1 oz Goldschlager Cinnamon Schnapps
1 oz Laird’s Applejack Brandy
