Earlier this week, Heineken held a celebration at Greenhouse in New York City to celebrate some of the cities most influential tastemakers and also introduce their collaboration with Aerial7 headphones. The Heineken headphones feature the brand’s signature black and green colors as well as the Heineken logo. The collaboration with Aerial7 is the latest addition to the “Heineken 100” influencer program. Heineken has worked with a number of brands for their influencer program including New Era and Freshness magazine.
Must be nice to be the national influencer for Grey Goose. Actually, let me rephrase that…it must be really, really, stupendously fantastic being the national influencer for Grey Goose. Dinner and cocktails atop the Eiffel Tower? Helicopter rides to private French mansions? Just wow. It looks like Kenny Burns had an absolutely amazing time in France and major kudos to him for becoming the brand’s national influencer.
Once the temperature gets anywhere near the 60’s the good people of Atlanta break out the Parka’s, put on their Ugg’s, and I brainstorm my way through a bunch of fall/winter inspired drink recipes. Okay the latter is true, but those first two may be a bit exaggerated. I received a sample of Godiva Liqueur and Zacapa Rum last week and I knew I just had to create a hot drink using the two liquors. I experimented a bit over the weekend, but couldn’t quite find the perfect combination of the three main ingredients until today. Below are the ingredients I used for my Lushworthy Creation.
I had planned on using shredded coconut as a garnish, but I was a little concerned with the fact that the white coconut wouldn’t stand out at all against the white whipped cream. That’s when I came up with the brilliant idea to toast the shredded coconut. And I’m so glad I did because the golden-brown color really pops and I feel like toasting the coconut brought out the flavor of the shredded coconut even more. Also, I have to add that this drink smells ahhh-mazing! I wish I could bottle the scent up and sell it to Bath & Body Works. It’s just that fragrant! 2 oz Godiva Liqueur
1 oz Zacapa Rum
2 oz Milk
Whipped Cream Or Cool Whip
Simmer Godiva Liqueur, Zacapa Rum, and milk in a small pot. Make sure you heat the ingredients on low or medium-low. Stir occasionally. While those three ingredients are heating place a layer of shredded coconut on a baking sheet and place in an oven heated to 375 degrees. Heat shredded coconut for about five to seven minutes or until they’re a gold brown color. Add heated ingredients (Godiva Liqueur, rum, and milk) to a glass mug. Let cool for about two minutes and then add whipped cream and top with toasted coconut.
While attending a friend’s birthday dinner earlier this week at a French restaurant here in Atlanta called Atmosphere I came across a really unique dessert made using Grey Goose Vodka. It’s called the “Colonel” and consists of “Lemon Sorbet topped with ice cold Grey Goose Vodka.” I’m kind of kicking myself for not trying the “Colonel,” but it seems like something you can easily make yourself. And for $7 I’m sure the lemon sorbet merely consists of a splash of Grey Goose Vodka. I got a quick picture in with my Blackberry before our already snarky waitress had a chance to see me and think I was crazy for taking pictures of dessert menus.
Not only is TUACA Liqueur’s new bottle designed by renowned tattoo artist Corey Miller, but it also features a unique temperature controlled bottle label that tells you when the vanilla-citrus liqueur is perfectly chilled. Now that is one Lushworthy combination. The bottle features Miller’s etch of the TUACA lion which turns blue when the liqueur is chilled.
“Working with Corey was an absolute pleasure, he’s genuine and embodies the adventurous spirit of TUACA” said Tracey Johnson, Tuaca Brand Manager, in a statement. “The label was designed with not only the consumer in mind, but also on-premise bars and restaurants, as it will indicate the perfect temperature to serve TUACA chilled or when combined with other ingredients for interesting shots like the Lemon Drop.”
The limited-edition TUACA Liqueur bottle will be available beginning October 1st.
Stoli Chocolat Razberi has yet to be released, but there’s nothing wrong with being cocktail ready once Stoli’s latest addition does hit shelves later this fall. I’m pretty sure I said it in my first Stoli Chocolat Raz post, but it really is an ideal liquor for fall. For me both the chocolate and raspberry flavors just scream fall. Can’t you just picture yourself relaxing on the porch of a cozy cabin sipping on a Stoli Chocolat Razberi White Russian? If you’re just as excited about the Stoli Chocolat Raz release as I am then maybe ogling at these drink recipes for a bit will hold you over for the time being. Or not…
Stoli Chocolat Razberi White Russian
2 parts Stoli® Chocolat Razberi™
1 part Bols Coffee liqueur
1 part light cream or milk
Pour Stoli Chocolat Raz and Bols Coffee liqueur over ice cubes in a highball glass. Fill with cream/milk, stir and serve.
1 ½ parts Stoli® Chocolat Razberi™
2 parts ginger ale
Build in an ice-filled highball glass and stir. Garnish with chocolate or raspberries.
Stoli Chocolat Razberi Cake Martini
2 parts Stoli® Chocolat Razberi™
1 part fresh lemon juice
1 part hazelnut liqueur
Shake with ice and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a lemon wheel.
